I Am Not Cargo

I have just been reading a blog that I started in 2006 called J's Holidays. Genevieve thought it would be fun to have a record of some of Jonathan's travel adventures to visiting my parents. The first entry is about Jonathan being a backseat driver, and how he was forever telling me how to drive around Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. He felt the need to give directions as with there being no other traffic on the road and only a 30 kilometer speed limit, I would need the help of a 7 year old. I told him that I would only ever drive very carefully as I had such precious cargo in the car. He asked what cargo, and I said him. Jonathan replied, "I am not cargo, I am a human!!"

Some of our funniest and most touching memories are of Jonathan's holiday comments - "Are we nearly at the hotel yet?" for the 70th time on our way to Scotland. He is such a good travelling companion.
