Jonathan turned 11 this week!! I cannot believe how big and grown up my baby is now. His birthday was Monday but he couldn't wait so we opened presents and had cake Sunday night. As it now seems to go with our kids, they get their first mobile phone when they turn 11. Jonathan is thrilled, he jumped for joy when Grandpa phoned him on it that night. He couldn't believe he had already received his first call. Last night I was out so he sent me a text message to let me know that he had finished his homework! He is thrilled with all is other presents. Sunday night he started reading the book that his Grandma and Grandad got for him and was playing his new Wii game he got from Grandpa. Happy Birthday, my beautiful Jonathan.

I remember when Jonathan's age had just the one 1 in it! You used to get him to hold up his little figure to say I'm 1. How did he grow so big? I guess it's all that peas and rice we fed him.
What a wonderful young man you are. I saw you enter this world, heard your first cry and saw the look on your mother's face as you were placed in her arms. A moment that Paddy and I were privileged and thrilled to share.
