Yesterday we set off for Desoto Falls with my Dad, my friend Kelleyn and her three boys. Neither one of our Sat Navs wanted to find the falls so went with map and directions in hand. After several attempts at the directions, we evetually gave up trying to find the falls. We instead headed for Copper Creek in the Chattahoochee National Park. What a wonderful drive along a small dirt road through the forest. We stopped at the campground for a picnic lunch, and after the boys went swimming in the creek. Andrew played on the bank chasing after the butterflies and throwing rocks in the water. He loves to through rocks in water. We then headed for Helen, GA, an old town that was starting to die out so they turned it into a Bavarian theme town. We stopped at Hofer's Bakery and bought some tasty German pastries. I spotted a a Christmas store that I had not seen before. I was very well behaved and did not go in as I knew I would not come out empty handed!! Thank you to my wonderful friend Kelleyn for such a fun day.
We have bought a yearly membership to Atlanta Zoo, so are off there today. Pictures and a game to see if you can tell the difference between the animals that live at the zoo and my kids to follow.

"Dad Dad"
Grandpa or Dad Dad as Andrew calls him, arrived today. All the kids love it when Dad Dad comes to stay, especially Andrew. He is here until Saturday, so plenty of time to build train track.

Stripper Baby
So it was bad enough when Andrew figured out how to take off his nappy. He has however, now taken it up a notch. This morning when Jonathan went to get him up, he was naked. When he went to bed he had pajamas on! Said pajamas are nowhere to be found.

America
I have finally gotten around to updateing our blog!!! It has only been over 2 years since I last posted!! We are happily settled in Alpharetta and could not be happier. Well, I would be if the kids hadn't been off school for soooooo long. I love that my friends in England are excited about the beginning of the school holidays, and we are already planning for the kids to go back. The kids have had a good summer. Jonathan spent 5 weeks at the beginning in Dallas with my Dad. He had a brilliant time. I drove out to Dallas halfway through his stay with Eleanor, Andrew and Jacob. It is a 12 hour drive which took us two days, stopping for the night in Vicksburg, Mississippi which is on the banks of the Mississippi river. Andrew and Grandpa had a wonderful time together. Each morning when Grandpa would come downstairs he would be greeted with a big smile and hug! Today, Stuart and Eleanor left on their big adventure together. They are driving to Harrisonburg, Pennsyvania today and tommorrow onto New York City, then on Monday night they will head down to Washington DC and spend two night with my brother. We are hoping to get another trip in, hopefully the whole family together. The kids would like to go to the beach. We think we will take advantage of the great deals available on the Gulf Coast!!! Stuart would like to go to New Orleans, so might head there. In the meantime, it is just me and the four boys at home. Feeling slightly outnumbered. Chris has joined a new band called Mandroid Academy. Tonight was supposed to be his first concert with the band but they have had to cancel. So look out for them playing on August 13th, a Friday!!
